Title of position: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
Location of the Job: ACCRA, GHANA

Reports to: BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Objectives/core purpose of the job:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational leadership, and financial performance of the pharmaceutical company. The CEO will ensure sustainable growth, compliance with regulatory standards, and the development of innovative pharmaceutical products or services. This individual will also oversee key partnerships, inspire teams, and maintain the company's competitive position in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute the company’s vision, mission, and strategic plan to ensure long-term success.
• Identify growth opportunities in markets, products, and partnerships while keeping abreast of pharmaceutical trends and advancements.
• Drive innovation and R&D initiatives to maintain competitive edge in product offerings.

2. Operational Oversight:
• Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency.
• Manage production, supply chain, quality assurance, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

3. Financial Management:
• Drive profitability and ensure financial sustainability by managing budgets, cost structures, and revenue targets.
• Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and investor relations.
• Ensure alignment with stakeholders’ financial expectations and long-term value creation.

4. Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure full compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards and legal requirements across global markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build and sustain relationships with investors, partners, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the company to external stakeholders, including government bodies, healthcare professionals, and the community.

6. People Leadership:
• Inspire and lead a high-performing executive team to deliver on organizational objectives.
• Foster an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative work culture.
• Identify and develop talent within the organization, ensuring succession planning.

7. Business Development:
• Explore and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach.
• Evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities to drive growth and diversification.

Key Qualifications
1. Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.

2. Experience:
• 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven track record in driving organizational growth and innovation.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and regulatory landscapes.

3. Skills:
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute complex business plans.
• Strong financial acumen and operational management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Leadership skills to inspire and drive teams toward achieving ambitious goals.
