Job Description

FarmWallet Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing financial reports, and supporting strategic financial decision-making to drive the company’s growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop and monitor budgets to align with organizational goals.
Provide financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Accounts Management:

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions.
Compliance and Audits:

Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
Coordinate and prepare for audits, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all financial matters.
Payroll and Expense Management:

Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate disbursement of salaries.
Track and manage company expenses, ensuring cost efficiency.
Financial Systems and Records:

Maintain the integrity of financial systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Provide financial insights to support partnerships and funding initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA) is preferred.
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in agri-fintech or a related industry.
Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
Salary:
GH₵3,000.00 Monthly
