Job Description
The construction site storekeeper is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of stocks, operation of an accounting system, maintenance of inventory records, preparation of material orders, and receiving, reviewing, and storing of supplies disbursed on job orders and material transfers. He or she will be responsible for ensuring that the stores are organised, secured and comply with company policies. He or she will also conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
He or she must have strong organisational and communication skills and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
