Guide Kophi Tours is a reputable tour operator specializing in cultural, historical, and adventure tours in Ghana. We're seeking experienced and passionate Tour Guides to join our team, delivering unforgettable experiences for our clients.
Job Summary:
As a Tour Guide at Guide Kophi Tours, you'll lead groups of travelers through Ghana's vibrant cities, historic sites, and stunning natural landscapes. Your expertise, enthusiasm, and warm hospitality will bring Ghana's rich culture and history to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Tour Preparation:

Research and familiarize yourself with tour itineraries, destinations, and activities.
Review and understand Guide Kophi Tours' standards, policies, and procedures.

On-Tour Duties:

Lead tour groups, providing expert commentary on Ghana's history, culture, and attractions.
Ensure seamless logistics, coordinating transportation, accommodations, and activities.
Engage clients with storytelling, anecdotes, and interactive experiences.
Manage group dynamics, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Handle emergencies or unexpected events, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.

Post-Tour Evaluation:

Gather client feedback and evaluate tour success.
Provide insights for improving tour itineraries and operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the operations team to develop new tour products and services.
Participate in marketing and sales efforts to promote Guide Kophi Tours.
Maintain knowledge of Ghana's tourism industry, trends, and developments.

Requirements:
Essential:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, or related field.
Certification in Tour Guiding or Tourism Management.
1+ year of experience in the hospitality industry or in a related field (hospitality, tourism).
In-depth knowledge of Ghana's history, culture, geography, and attractions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English (additional languages an asset).
Valid Ghanaian driver's license (or ability to obtain).

Desirable:
First aid and emergency response training.
Experience with tour management software.
Familiarity with Ghanaian languages (e.g., Twi, Fante, Ewe).

Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ghana.
Physical stamina to handle demanding tour schedules.
