Job Summary:
Reliance Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Pump Operator to join our client’s team in the Steel Manufacturing industry. The Pump Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining pumps to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor pumps to transfer liquids, gases, or powdered materials
• Inspect equipment for malfunctions and perform routine maintenance
• Adjust pump controls to regulate flow and pressure
• Monitor gauges, meters, dials, or display screens and other instruments to ensure proper operation
• Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times
• Safely rig in and rig out
• Start pumps, open valves, and operate control panels
• Attach pumps and hoses to wellheads
• Unload and assemble pipes and pumping equipment brought to the well site
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Pump Operator in a similar industry preferred
• Knowledge of pump operations and maintenance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Skills:
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
