Job Description

As the Project Quantity Surveyor, you are responsible for:
a. Cost Management & Budget Control
• Track costs
• Submit and negotiate Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).
• Maintain cash flow forecasts and cost reports.
• Monitor actual quantities vs. tender allowances.
b. Measurement and Valuation
• Conduct site measurements in coordination with the Site Engineer.
• Prepare monthly valuations of work completed.
• Maintain daily diaries and site quantity records.
• Review and reconcile Engineer’s measurements.
c. Procurement & Subcontract Management
• Prepare and manage procurement schedules.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor packages.
• Monitor material and equipment usage.
• Track delivery, approval, and usage of long-lead items.
d. Variations and Change Orders
• Identify and assess potential variations.
• Draft and submit Variation Orders with cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with the Engineer and Client QS to gain approvals.
• Maintain a Variation Register.
e. Contract Administration
• Understand and enforce all relevant contract clauses (e.g., FIDIC).
• Monitor claims, time extensions, notices, and payment schedules.
• Support site team with contractual correspondence.
• Participate in monthly progress meetings.
• Ensure familiarity with payment terms, variation clauses, dispute resolution mechanisms.

GH₵4,000.00 Monthly
